Each Leadership Greenville class is comprised of men and women from all areas of expertise and from a cross-section of the Greenville community. Participants are chosen based on their community involvement and personal achievements.

Leadership Greenville was created in 1973 to develop informed, committed and qualified individuals capable of providing dynamic leadership for Greenville County. Class members participate in ten months of educational and skill-building exercises. Also during the course of the program, the class chooses a project that benefits the Greenville community.

The program begins in August with a two-day retreat. Class sessions are held one day each month, with topics including quality of life, the economy, human services, local government and education. The program concludes in May with an ending retreat and a graduation ceremony. For more information on Leadership Greenville, contact Sandi Coan at 864-239-3723 or Lib Street at 864-239-3730.

The Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary, non-profit organization of businesses and professionals in Greenville County and the surrounding Upstate dedicated to promoting a preeminent business community: supporting innovation, collaboration and success by all businesses, small to large; providing vision, leadership and programs necessary for a progressive and diverse economy and quality of life.
